Liberty San Leandro Concrete & Masonry, sanleandroconcreteandmasonry.com, hello@sanleandroconcreteandmasonry.com
Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Liberty San Leandro Concrete & Masonry website and any estimate or work you get from us. When you use the site, call us or ask for a quote, you agree to them, so please read them first.
If you've signed a written estimate or contract with us for a specific job, that document controls the job. Where it says something different from this page, the signed document wins.
Who we are and what we do
Liberty San Leandro Concrete & Masonry is a masonry contractor in San Leandro, CA. We also work in the cities around it. Our work includes brick, block and stone masonry, chimney and fireplace work, retaining walls, pavers, walkways, foundation repair and related concrete work. You can read more about our crew on our about page.
The descriptions, photos and general advice on our home page and service pages explain the trade in general terms. They aren't a promise about your job, because every house, wall and patch of soil is different. What we'll do for you is set out in your written estimate.
Estimates and pricing
We give free quotes on site, and asking for one doesn't obligate you to anything. Your estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the visit, along with the materials, access and scope you've told us you want.
Some conditions only show up once the work is open, such as hidden water damage, failed mortar behind a sound-looking face, buried roots or soil that won't hold. If we find something like that, we'll stop, show you, explain the options and get your approval in writing before we do extra work or change the price.
An estimate holds for the time stated on it. After that, material costs may have changed, so we may need to update the price before we schedule the job.
Scheduling and cancellation
We'll give you a start date and a rough timeline, but treat those as targets, not guarantees. Rain, curing time for mortar and concrete, material deliveries and any required inspections can all move the schedule, and we won't rush a step that needs time to set.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, tell us as soon as you can. If we've already ordered, cut or delivered materials for your job, you may owe for those costs as your written agreement describes. This doesn't take away any right to cancel that the law gives you.
Payment terms
Your written agreement sets out how much is due and when, including any deposit, progress payments and the final payment. Final payment is due when the work in the agreement is complete, unless the agreement says otherwise.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until the account is current. We keep any rights the law gives contractors to be paid for work and materials they've provided.
Your part of the job
We need safe access to the work area, plus water and power where the job calls for them. Please move vehicles, furniture and anything fragile out of the way before we arrive, because we can't be responsible for items left in the work zone.
Tell us about anything we can't see, such as private sprinkler, gas or electrical lines, drainage problems or past repairs. If your homeowners association or landlord has to approve the work, getting that approval is up to you unless your agreement says otherwise.
Warranties and what they don't cover
We stand behind our work, and satisfaction is guaranteed on every job. Any written warranty for your project, including how long it lasts and what it covers, will be in your written agreement, and that's the warranty that applies.
Brick, stone and concrete are natural materials, so some things are normal and aren't defects. These include color and texture differences between batches, small shrinkage cracks in concrete, and white mineral deposits that can rise to the surface of new masonry as it dries.
Our warranty doesn't cover damage from earthquakes, flooding, soil movement outside the area we worked on, tree roots, misuse, lack of upkeep, or work done later by someone else. Apart from any written warranty we give you, the website and its content are provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Liberty San Leandro Concrete & Masonry isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost use of your property or lost income, that come from our website or our work.
Where we are liable, our total liability for a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing here limits any right you have under California law that can't be waived by agreement.
If we disagree
If something about a job isn't right, call us first, because most problems get fixed fastest when we can come back out and look. We'll work with you in good faith to sort it out.
If we can't settle it between us, either of us may take the matter to small claims court or to the state courts in Alameda County, California, unless your written agreement names another way to resolve disputes.
Governing law
These terms, your use of our website and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when they're posted on this page, so it's worth checking back now and then.
Changes won't alter a written agreement you've already signed with us. That job stays under the terms you agreed to.
